The increasing technical development together with the expanding possibilities for interconnection of all sorts of devices is creating a need for a new thinking within the cybersecurity arena. As the world is getting more and more “digitalized”, complex and often forgotten and overlooked dependency chains are created. These growing hazards needs to be identified so we have the possibility to not fall into the same pits as with industrial control systems directly connected to the internet.
Richard Widh (B Sc Computer engineering & electronics, CISSP, GISP) is a Senior technical Executive officer and a part of the Office of Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection at The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB). Richard have worked as a specialist within the Cybersecurity area for more than 15 years and within IT as a professional since 1993, including but not limited to the Swedish Armed forces (FM), Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority(SSM).
